Maxime Favier

An independent photographer based in Belgium, Maxime, 32 years old, is self-taught and passionate about photography ever since getting his hands on a Kodak Instamatic 233 in the 1980s. In line with his practical experiments and an orginal background, this Doctor in Chemistry has developed a particularly pragmatic approch to photography. Today, he teaches shooting priniciples and digital retouching in Brussels. He also gives diverse workshops dedicated to things like the portrait and urban photography, his personal favoritys. Naturally curious, he has also worked on a few series of nature landscapes that stemmed from travels where the subjects presented themselves (China, Brazil, Austrailia). Maxime works in digital and traditional (all formats from 24x36 to 20x25), in color and black & white. This "jack of all trades" believes that the richness of photography resides in its diversity. A fantastic playing field! Incidendtally, he is also a founding member of the web-magazine www.lesphotographes.com, which interview different actors in the world of photography.
